Lamb Open to Eliminating Sales Tax Exemptions to Fill Budget Hole

Lt. Governor Todd Lamb has been clear during his campaign for governor, he doesn’t want to raise taxes to bail out state government, but he’s open to eliminating sales tax exemptions to help bring in additional revenue. The Oklahoman’s Chris Cateel writes Lamb is echoing an idea first proposed by Governor Fallin in 2016 and has been reviewed by the Oklahoma Supreme Court. Oklahoma currently has $6.7 billion in sales tax exemptions.
