Filing Period Begins for 2018 Oklahoma Elections

Wednesday marks the first day candidates can file for the 2018 elections. It means those candidates will have to mingle with the protesting teachers at the Oklahoma Capitol where they must visit the Oklahoma Ethics Commission as well as the State Election Board.

The filing period will last through Friday. The offices open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The featured races are the statewide offices including governor, all five U.S. Congressional seats and several legislative races.

A live, running list of declarations for candidacy can be found on the Oklahoma State Election Board website here.
