Fourkiller Drops from House District 86 Race

One incumbent legislator decided to drop out of the race because he was likely facing an uphill battle to be re-elected. Rep. Will Fourkiller withdrew from the House District 86 race on Tuesday.

Fourkiller was facing two Democrats for the nomination. He also drew two Republican opponents who will face off for their party’s nomination in June.

In 2017, a House investigative committee looking into sexual harassment claims sanctioned Fourkiller for making inappropriate comments to a House page. He denied the claim, but didn’t challenge the committee’s decision.

It was likely that the committee’s findings would be used against him in the race.
