Oklahoma Farm Bureau Joins Anti-Medical Marijuana Coalition

The Oklahoma Farm Bureau has joined the effort to defeat the medical marijuana referendum on the ballot later this month. The Farm Bureau joined the SQ 788 is Not Medical Coalition after the move was approved by its board of directors.

“After deep consideration of our grassroots policy and the language of the state question, the Oklahoma Farm Bureau board voted to oppose State Question 788,” said Rodd Moesel, OKFB president. “We have tremendous concerns about the impact of the measure on our state, especially in rural areas. Though we understand the arguments for medical marijuana, we believe State Question 788 lacks significant regulations, is essentially recreational marijuana, and is bad policy for our state.”

SQ 788 is up for a vote on the June 26 primary ballot.
