Congressman Wants to Know More About How Pruitt Got Rose Bowl Tickets with Renzi Stone’s Help

Congressman Elijah Cummings, the ranking minority member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee is asking how University of Oklahoma Regent Renzi Stone helped EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt obtain tickets to watch OU at the Rose Bowl. Bloomberg’s Terrence Dopp and Jennifer Dlouhy write Cummings wants to know more about the transaction. Stone’s public relations firm represents several energy companies which could have dealings with the EPA. Stone also is involved with Republican gubernatorial candidate Mick Cornett’s campaign. Stone said he put Pruitt’s aide in contact with the OU athletic department. An EPA spokesman said Cummings is mischaracterizing Pruitt’s ticket purchase.
