Cornett Raises Nearly $1.3 Million During Runoff Election

A big injection of cash for the Mick Cornett for Governor campaign as the runoff enters its final week before Republican voters decide who their nominee will be. Cornett’s campaign announced it has raised nearly $1.3 million during the runoff election period. It is thought to be the record for contributions received for any Oklahoma runoff.

“For the last 14 months, I have been overwhelmed by the support our campaign has received from across the state,” Cornett said. “Fundraising is a key component for running a strong campaign, and we are in great position to win. We are proud of our supporters at every level, whether they are volunteers, interns, contributors or simply showing their neighbors they support us with a yard sign.”

Cornett is facing Tulsa businessman Kevin Stitt for the Republican nomination. The winner of the August 28 runoff election will face Democrat Drew Edmondson and the winner of the Libertarian Party gubernatorial runoff.
