High School Students Get Their Turn to Question Gubernatorial Candidates

High school students wrote questions and moderated a debate between Republican Kevin Stitt and Democrat Drew Edmondson on Thursday. The Oklahoman’s Ben Felder writes while many of the teens will not be old enough to vote on November 6, they posed questions about education, health care, the economy and other topics. The debate is the first event hosted by the nonprofit From Now On to help encourage teenagers to be involved in politics and get registered to vote when they turn 18 years old.
