U.S. Senator James Lankford talked with the media on Monday about the release of pastor Andrew Brunson’s release from Turkey. Lankford has been working toward his release by engaging the Trump Administration. Brunson was accused of spying and aiding terrorists and was sentenced to more than three years in prison.
Brunson’s release is considered a warming of relations between the U.S. and Turkey.
