Legislative Leaders Commit to Continuing Work on Education, Shoring Up Medical Marijuana Laws

As a new legislative session approaches, leaders in Oklahoma’s House and Senate are pushing back against social media “fear mongering” over education. The Tulsa World’s Barbara Hoberock writes lawmakers don’t plan to pull back taxes for teacher pay raises, but want to see reforms to enhance student performance. They also said the Legislature would work on the state’s medical marijuana laws to put a solid framework in place as the new industry begins to take root.
