Equalization Board Set to Meet Wednesday

Governor Stitt will sit in the chairman’s seat for the first time during Wednesday’s State Board of Equalization Board. This meeting will set the spending limit for this year’s Legislature.

In December, the Equalization Board estimated lawmakers would have around $612 million more to appropriate for the next fiscal year. Many believe because lower oil and gas prices had yet to hit state revenues in December, the figure will be lower than previously estimated.

The meeting takes place in the Oklahoma Capitol’s Blue Room at 10:00 a.m.
