Oklahoma Senator Jason Smalley isn’t giving up on trying to win more independence for nurse anesthetists to practice without a doctor’s supervision. The Oklahoman’s Chris Casteel writes Smalley is blaming lobbyists and money for the failure of Senate Bill 801 to get a Senate floor hearing. However, Smalley is trying to rework the language to try again next legislative session.
