Muscogee (Creek) Nation Ready to Join Gaming Lawsuit Against Stitt

A fourth gaming tribe might be joining the federal lawsuit filed against Governor Kevin Stitt to decide if the tribal gaming compacts automatically renew. That has been the crux of the impasse between Stitt and the tribes to renegotiate fees and possibly add new gaming options.

Tulsa World’s Randy Krehbiel writes the Muscogee (Creek) Nation council approved a half million dollar supplemental appropriation for the tribal Attorney General’s Office. The Chickasaw, Choctaw and Cherokee tribes filed the lawsuit on December 31, 2019.
