Inhofe Hints Tulsa National Guard Might Not Get F-35s

During a Tuesday visit to the Tulsa Air National Guard base, U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe said the base might be too efficient in maintaining it’s F-16 fighter jets to receive the new F-35 jets coming into service.

Tulsa World’s Randy Krehbiel writes Inhofe also confirmed reports that the National Defense Authorization Act will likely be on hold until after the elections to keep the renaming of bases named after Confederate officers from becoming an election issue.

Inhofe is the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
