Inhofe Believes Trump’s NDAA Veto Threat Misplaced

As Congress prepares to pass a compromise version of the National Defense Authorization Act as a crucial funding deadline approaches, President Trump has threatened to veto the bill if it doesn’t include repeal of protections for social media companies. U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe, who is the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, believes Trump is misplacing the issue by trying to leverage the defense bill.

Politico’s Andrew Desiderio, Connor O’Brien and Marianne Levine write Inhofe agrees with Trump on the repeal of Section 230, but the defense bill has nothing to do with it.
