Oklahoma Supreme Court Asked to Put Hold on Three Abortion Laws

The Oklahoma Supreme Court has been asked to put injunctions on three abortion related laws set to go into effect on November 1st. Abortion providers are appealing a decision by an Oklahoma County Judge to not hold back House Bill 1904, Senate Bill 778 and Senate Bill 779 from going into effect. That judge did put injunctions on two other laws, House Bill 1102 (unprofessional conduct for performing a non-life saving abortion) and House Bill 2441 (abortion not allowed if fetal heartbeat is detected).

Tulsa World’s Barbara Hoberock writes the abortion advocates want a hold on the laws while legal challenges are being heard in the lower court.
