Poll Shows Oklahoma Voters Want Gov’t to Stay Out of Business Vaccination Decisions

Whether a business wants to require a COVID-19 vaccination or not should be up to the business and not mandated by state or federal government according to the majority of likely Oklahoma voters conducted by Cole Hargrave Snodgrass & Associates’ Sooner Survey. Across the political spectrum, 60-percent of those polled oppose any government mandate on business concerning vaccinations, either requiring them or preventing the business from requiring them. That’s up from an earlier poll in July asking a similar question at 57-percent.

“The reality is the vast majority of Oklahoma voters just want government to stay out of telling businesses how to address their employees and vaccines – and that is even more true today than when we tested it in July,” said Cole Hargrave Snodgrass & Associates President Pat McFerron.

Breaking the survey down between the two major political parties, 74-percent of Republicans oppose any government vaccine mandate on business, while 41-percent of Democrats follow suit.

A Montana law making the unvaccinated a “special class” is not popular among Oklahoma voters, either. That breaks down to 33-percent in favor and 56-percent oppose making an unvaccinated special class of citizens. Republicans are divided over the issue (44% favor/45% oppose), while Democrats are fairly united against created a special class (20% favor/70% oppose).

This Sooner Survey poll was conducted October 11 – 15, 2021 with 500 registered voters. The confidence interval associated with this sample is that 95% of the time the results are within 4.3% of the true values.

This report is very vague. What is the exact question posed to the people about vaccines? Do they want the .gov to mandate a vaccine or do they want the government to stop companies from forcing the vaccine as a requirement of work? These are very different questions. Also what is meant by a “special class” of citizen? The ambiguity in this is worse than that of the documents of Vatican II. Without clarity this is worthless info design to push an agenda.
