Attorney A.J. Ferate was elected as the Oklahoma Republican Party’s new chairman replacing John Bennett who is running for Congress.
Ferate defeated Miles Rahimi for the position.
The Oklahoman’s Hogan Gore writes during this weekend’s state GOP meeting Governor Kevin Stitt endorsed Education Secretary Ryan Walters for State Superintendent of Public Education.

Dr. John Cox for state superintendent. We don’t need anymore NOT qualified people in this important position, after what 14 years, enough. Elected a teacher, principal and superintendent not a simple classroom teacher to be State Superintendent.
