Hofmeister Calls Stitt’s Voucher Plan a Rural School Killer

During a campaign stop in Checotah, Democrat gubernatorial race nominee Joy Hofmeister warned that Governor Kevin Stitt’s voucher plan would hurt rural schools.

The Oklahoman’s Ben Felder writes Hofmeister is bringing that message to small Oklahoma communities.

Stitt, who previously was against school vouchers in his first race for governor, is now doubling down on the voucher program as he was speaking before an evangelical conference in Atlanta, GA.

    The Governor is now for vouchers because he has matured in his political judgement. He knows that vouchers would level the playing field and not leave lower income families stuck in schools that aren’t right for them. Mrs. Hofmeister is set on old ways of doing things, and is unlikely to mature at all.
