Stitt Vetoes Three ARPA Bills

Governor Kevin Stitt has vetoed three of the ARPA spending bills that the Legislature sent to him last week during its special session. The other measures were either signed into law or allowed to go into law without his signature.

Tulsa World’s Randy Krehbiel writes the vetoed bills would have appropriated $10 million for grants to local arts organizations affected by COVID-19, $8.2 million to upgrade OETA’s broadcast equipment, including the emergency alert system, and $6 million for regional emergency management centers.

As of Thursday, the Legislature had not signaled how it plans to handle the vetoes.
