Changing Course: Firefighter-In-Training

Today, grandson Michael Stuck becomes an Oklahoma City firefighter-in-training.

It’s a goal toward which Mike has worked for a long time. A few years back, he paid his own way through the Eastern Oklahoma County Tech Center’s Firefighters Academy and graduated at the top of his class.

Mike’s gravitation to emergency services hasn’t surprised me; he’s always enjoyed helping others.

Mike’s been at Tinker Air Force Base, with time off for the Firefighters School and other endeavors (junior college degree, then BS from Southern Nazarene), since high school.

Now, he embarks on another career with his family, wife Brandi, daughter Kaydnce, son Ryder, and all the rest of us, at his side.

We’re certain he’ll excel and wish him the best.
