Two of Three Oklahoma Supreme Court Justices Retained

After a group ran ads asking Oklahoma voters not to retain three Oklahoma Supreme Court Justices leading up to the General Election, the result was two out of the three keeping their seats.

Supreme Court Justice Yvonne Kauger was not retained by Oklahoma voters by a margin of 50.24% to 49.76%

Justices Noma Gurich and James Edmondson were kept on the court by voters.

The current makeup of the court is a 5-4 Republican majority.

With Kauger’s ouster, Governor Kevin Stitt will be able to appoint a new justice to replace her.
