Add Oklahoma Secretary of Energy and Environment Jeff Starling to the list of Republican candidates for Oklahoma Attorney General in 2026. Starling announced his campaign on Tuesday.
Governor Kevin Stitt appointed Sterling as Energy and Environment Secretary in December 2024. Sterling has worked as an attorney for Devon Energy and Lagoon Water Midstream. He’s also been a partner at a Richmond, Virginia, law firm and served as a legislative aide to former U.S. Senator John Warner of Virginia.
To launch his campaign, Sterling’s campaign produced a video which can be seen below.
Sterling is facing former Oklahoma House Majority Floor Leader Jon Echols in the race to secure the Republican nomination for AG.
