Chip Keating Joins Race for Oklahoma Governor

Chip Keating, a businessman and longtime public servant, announced today he is entering the race for governor of Oklahoma. Keating joins the Republican primary with a pledge to confront public safety challenges, grow the state’s economy, and work alongside President Trump to advance an America First agenda.

“Oklahoma families need a fighter who’s got their back,” Keating said. “President Trump is leading the way for political outsiders to challenge the failing status quo and the career politicians who aren’t getting the job done. I’m a man of action, not a career politician, and I’ll follow the Trump playbook to keep Oklahoma safe, stand firm in our conservative values, and build a safer, stronger state together.”

Keating spent more than two decades in the private sector working in Oklahoma’s oil and gas industry and opposing federal regulations he said harm jobs and economic growth. He has also served in leadership roles with the Salvation Army, OU Health, the University Hospitals Authority Trust, and the Children’s Hospital Foundation. He is also founder and president of the Oklahoma State Troopers Foundation.

A third-generation Oklahoman and the son of former Governor Frank Keating, he and his wife Brittney have been married for 20 years and have three children. Keating plans to launch a series of campaign events statewide later in October.
