Expanded Parental Leave for Teachers Part of Bipartisan Push

Oklahoma Representative Emily Gise and Oklahoma Senator Mark Mann are working together to pass a trio of bills to help expand opportunities for parental leave among school employees.

The Oklahoman’s Alexia Aston writes that fathers and adopting parents working for a public school would qualify for the benefits.

The legislation also would expand paid parental leave from six weeks to 12 weeks.
