U.S. Senator Markwayne Mullin appeared on NewsNation’s On Balance with Leland Vittert to discuss the fatal shooting of a woman during an ICE operation in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The panel discussion also included political columnist Chris Cillizza.
Mullin argued that escalating anti-ICE rhetoric has contributed to a sharp rise in violence against federal immigration officers, citing a more than 1,300 percent increase in attacks since President Trump returned to office. He said ICE agents are enforcing federal law and that individuals in the country illegally are fugitives under that law.
