Former Oklahoma House Speaker Charles McCall’s campaign for governor has released a new television ad centered on national security and what it calls protecting Oklahoma from “radical threats.”
The ad, titled “Protect Oklahoma,” warns that “radical Islamists are pushing Sharia Law to change America and they’re coming for Oklahoma next,” adding, “Charles McCall will stop them,” according to the campaign.
“As Governor, I’ll continue standing with President Trump to crush radical Islam and fight the scammers that Democrats have let run wild,” McCall said in a statement announcing the ad. “This is about protecting Oklahoma. That’s exactly what I intend to do.”
The campaign pointed to McCall’s record as Speaker of the House, including support for legislation banning the use of Sharia law in Oklahoma courts and actions aimed at limiting what it describes as extremist ideologies and activist disruptions at the State Capitol.
