The Oil and Gas Workers Association has endorsed Chip Keating in the race for Oklahoma governor, citing his background in the energy industry and support for expanding oil and gas production.
Keating called the endorsement an honor and said, if elected, he would work to strengthen Oklahoma’s energy sector and promote American energy independence alongside Donald Trump.
“As Oklahoma Governor, we’ll dominate oil and gas again and partner with President Trump to usher in a new era of American energy independence,” Keating said. “I know this industry and how to unleash it, and I’ll always put working Oklahomans first.”
Oil and Gas Workers Association President Matt Coday said Keating’s hands-on experience in the industry and business background make him uniquely qualified to lead the state.
Keating has proposed creating a National Laboratory in Oklahoma focused on energy investment and national security, saying the effort would help anchor jobs and strengthen the state’s role in domestic energy production.
