Oklahoma House Speaker Kyle Hilbert said the results of the state’s primary election show voters support the work being done by Republican lawmakers in the Oklahoma House.
In a statement following the election, Hilbert said every House Republican incumbent finished first in their race, with only one advancing to a runoff election.
“The people of Oklahoma sent a resounding message on Election Day that they support the conservative Republican work being done by the House of Representatives,” Hilbert said.
Hilbert said House Republicans remain focused on policies aimed at economic growth and improving education outcomes. He said he plans to continue working with fellow lawmakers during his final term in office.
Hilbert also thanked voters in House District 29 after winning re-election with 75.54% of the vote.
“I want to thank House District 29 from the bottom of my heart for trusting me again to be their voice at the state capitol,” Hilbert said.
Members of the Oklahoma House of Representatives are limited to 12 years of combined legislative service. Hilbert will reach his term limit in 2028.
