Even as former State Superintendent of Public Instruction Janet Barresi has thrown her hat into the 5th District Congressional Race, her name is being tied to website addresses indicating a possible congressional run by former Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett. The Lost Ogle discovered through a search of website address listings that “Janet Barresi” was listed as the owner of the “Cornett-based” websites.
Earlier this week, Cornett told The Oklahoman he was not running for Congress.
The McCarville Report has reached out to the Barresi campaign for comment, but has yet to receive a response.
