Questions Raised Concerning State Board of Ed Meeting Records

It appears The Oklahoman found a mistake in the February meeting minutes for the Oklahoma State Board of Education. Those minutes are on the agenda to be approved on Thursday by the Board.

The Oklahoman’s Murray Evans writes that the paper found a discrepancy in the way the vote on the social studies standards was conducted and a recording of the meeting was missing from the State Department of Education Facebook page.

A spokeswoman for the State Department of Education said the discrepancy in the minutes was due to a clerical error and will be corrected. She also said agency officials did not take down the meeting recording from the social media site.
