Hern Launches Campaign for U.S. Senate Seat in Oklahoma

Congressman Kevin Hern has announced he is running for the open U.S. Senate seat in Oklahoma following the nomination of Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin to serve as Secretary of Homeland Security.

Hern has represented Oklahoma’s First Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2018 and currently serves in House Republican leadership as chairman of the Republican Policy Committee. His campaign said he begins the race with more than $7 million on hand.

“President Trump’s America First Agenda and our nation are under attack by the Radical Left and RINO Republicans,” Hern said. “Now more than ever, Oklahomans need to know they have a strong conservative leader in Washington who will stand up for their values and support our great President.”

Hern said his priorities include securing the border, lowering the cost of living for families, supporting law enforcement and the military, and advancing policies aligned with President Donald Trump.

The campaign also announced that Republican pollster Tony Fabrizio will serve as a senior advisor. Fabrizio previously served as the lead pollster for Trump’s 2016 and 2024 presidential campaigns.

“Kevin Hern is in a strong position to be Oklahoma’s next U.S. Senator,” Fabrizio said. “His record of support for President Trump’s agenda, the trust he has built with Oklahoma voters, and his experience in public service and in business have prepared him for this key role.”
