February GRF Collections Exceed Monthly And Year-To-Date Estimates

General Revenue Fund collections in February totaled $476.7 million, exceeding the monthly estimate by $49.4 million, or 11.6 percent, according to new figures from the Oklahoma Office of Management and Enterprise Services.

The February total is also $13.9 million, or 3 percent, higher than collections from February 2025.

For the first eight months of fiscal year 2026, GRF collections total $5.4 billion. That amount is $296.4 million, or 5.8 percent, above the year to date estimate and $62.4 million, or 1.2 percent, higher than collections during the same period in fiscal year 2025.

OMES Director Mark Wood said stronger than expected performance across several categories contributed to the February increase.

“February collections exceeded the monthly estimate by more than 10% due to higher-than-expected performance in all categories, including gross production tax from oil and gas,” Wood said. “We’re also ahead of last year’s levels, indicating Oklahoma’s economy remains strong.”

Wood said revenue collections continue to align with projections from the State Board of Equalization, which met last month to certify updated estimates for the upcoming budget cycle.

Those projections set the Legislature’s authorized budget for the 2026 legislative session at $12.2 billion for fiscal year 2027.
