Former executive director of the Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Adminstration (CCOSA) Ryan Owens is now suing his former employer, State Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister and former CCOSA president Jerry Needham for wrongful termination. Prosecutors investigating a possible campaign violation questioned Owens about the issue. It was after that he alleges Hofmeister colluded with Needham to force his resignation.
“The claim is entirely untrue and unsupported,” said Hofmeister in response to our inquiry about the lawsuit.
