Chickasaw Nation Attorney Claims Stitt Using Bad Figures

Chickasaw Nation general counsel Stephen Greetham claims Governor Kevin Stitt isn’t looking at all the numbers when it comes to compact tribal gaming fees in other states. The Tulsa World’s Barbara Hoberock writes Greetham says only about five percent of tribal-state gaming compacts are set at a 20 to 25 percent rate, while many are set at zero. Governor Stitt has voiced a desire to renegotiate the gaming compacts. Tribal leaders believe they will automatically renew on January 1, 2020 with no negotiations.
