State Dept. of Ed Puts Limits on Emergency Teacher Certifications

As Oklahoma continues to deal with a teacher shortage, the Oklahoma State Department of Education issues guidance concerning emergency certified teachers and younger students. The Tulsa World’s Andrea Eager writes the rules are meant to stem the use of emergency certifications at a time when the State Board of Education indicates it will increase its scrutiny of applicants seeking emergency certification.
