The oversight committee which will oversee the Legislative Office of Fiscal Transparency (LOFT) took the first steps on Tuesday toward setting up the newly created entity. NonDoc’s Tres Savage writes lawmakers feel this will give them accurate figures in dealing with agency budgets and programs. Committees were given assignments to create job requirements for an executive director, as well as, rules of operation.
The next LOFT oversight committee meeting is August 20.
