Stitt Considering Change to School Funding Formula

During Tuesday’s Tulsa Regional Chamber State of the State Forum, Governor Kevin Stitt said that he’s looking into the possibility of allowing communities to raise property taxes to help fund local schools without a penalty against money coming through the state’s funding formula. The Tulsa World’s Stetson Payne writes the governor told the forum he thinks the state should look at how to unlock local potential to pay teachers more and to invest into education.
