Tribes Want Stitt to Recognize Compact Renewal Before Negotiations Can Begin

Oklahoma’s gaming tribes want the governor to recognize that the Tribal Gaming Compacts will automatically renew and not expire before they will come to the negotiating table. The Tulsa World’s Barbara Hoberock writes it is the response to Governor Kevin Stitt’s call to put aside the deadline issue and begin talks on gaming fees. Tribal leaders also asked for a specific proposal from Stitt but say they have yet to receive one.
