Recreational Marijuana Initiative Pulled

The two Oklahoma City women who filed an initiative petition asking voters to decide if adults should be allowed to consume marijuana recreationally have withdrawn the petition. Tulsa World’s Randy Krehbiel and Kelsey Schlotthauer write the supporters heard concerns from the medical marijuana community and decided to pull the proposed change to the state constitution.

A spokeswoman for the supporters of the recreational marijuana proposal said they plan to file a new version in the future.
