New Recreational Marijuana Initiative Petitions Filed

Two initiative petitions asking voters to approve recreational adult use of marijuana have been filed with the Secretary of State’s Office just days after State Question 806 was pulled by its advocates. Tulsa World’s Randy Krehbiel writes State Question 807 is from the same group which filed SQ 806 and includes clearer protections for current medical cannabis businesses. It also is being supported by out of state marijuana interests.

State Question 808 was filed by political agitator Paul Tay and would leave much of the regulation of recreational marijuana to the legislature with the requirement that “the right of all persons to consume cannabis shall not be infringed.”
