Governor Kevin Stitt sent a letter to President Trump asking for him to declare the coronavirus an “act of God” which would be a step to help oil producers.
OK Energy Today reports Stitt asked for the “force majeure” so that oil companies could stop production on money losing wells without losing their lease.
