Hunter Calls for Health Department Audit During COVID-19 Response

Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter on Tuesday requested the State Auditor and Inspector to launch an investigative audit into the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

Tulsa World’s Barbara Hoberock writes Hunter’s request did not cite specific areas for the audit.

Governor Kevin Stitt defended the Health Department and said measures were put into place to monitor the money the agency is spending in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
