Inhofe Warns of Russian Aggression in Syria

Russian forces recently sideswiped a U.S. military vehicle injuring four American troops in northeast Syria. The U.S. coalition patrol left the area to de-escalate the situation. Officials say this is the latest in a number of recent breaches of protocols agreed to between Russia and the U.S. while operating in Syria.

U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe, who serves as the Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman, is thankful the American troops will be okay.

“I’m very proud of the professionalism and bravery of the U.S. soldiers on the ground in Syria for the restraint they showed when confronted by aggressive and reckless Russian forces. Our troops demonstrated the rare combination of courage, wisdom and moral strength that truly makes America’s military the greatest in the world, and ensured the situation did not escalate into something worse. I am keeping those who were injured in my prayers,” said Inhofe.

Oklahoma’s senior Senator also had a warning for Russia; the U.S. military will not just stand by if further breaches of protocol occur.

“Russia, on the other hand, is continuing its reckless pattern of aggression and provocation, and Putin is accountable for the actions of Russian forces. Make no mistake: President Trump will defend our troops any time they are put in a position of danger, just like he did in eastern Syria in February 2018 when Russian mercenaries crossed the Euphrates River and threatened the safety and well-being of U.S. troops. I have full confidence, and our adversaries should have no doubt, that he will do the same when any future situation demands it. It won’t end well for Russian troops who threaten our forces.”

Well Jim, the Russians were invited into Syria by the legitimate government of Syria. We were not, but went any way to steal Syrian oil and provided it to your masters in Israel. Also, I think the piracy of the Iranian tankers by USGov is very telling. Is there no shame in the District of Criminals?
