Congresswoman Stephanie Bice has landed a spot on the House Armed Services Committee. She’s expected to be confirmed as a member by the House Republican Conference next week. The Armed Services Committee is important to Oklahoma because of its five military installations and large number of civilian workers to aid those missions.
Bice says she is ready to take on the duty.
I’m proud to represent the interests of Oklahoma’s Fifth District on the House Armed Services Committee, including the thousands of men and women employed by Tinker Air Force Base,” Bice said. “The safety and security of Americans should be our top priority and TAFB employees play a crucial role in supporting our national defense. I will work to ensure that all of Oklahoma’s national security installations have the resources necessary to carry out their missions and to support our military servicemembers and their families as they defend our country.”
