Phone calls within Central Oklahoma will soon need ten digits to connect. Starting April 24, ten digit dialing begins in the 405 area code. That’s because of the new area code needed.
The 572 area code will begin on May 24, 2021.
This is similar to what happened in 2011 when the 918 area code ran low on number creating the need for the 539 area code.
