U.S. Senator James Lankford was part of a group of Republican Senators who toured the U.S. – Mexico border in light of the immigration crisis and border security issues. While the Biden Administration is treating this like a seasonal migration, the Republican Senators see it as a humanitarian and security issue.
Lankford toured the Temporary Processing Facility in Donna, Texas, the Pharr International Bridge, and tour of Anzalduas park via river.
