Inhofe Attacks Biden’s Defense Budget

As the Ranking Member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe is calling out the Biden Administration’s proposed defense spending increase of less than two percent.

On Thursday, he rebuked the Administration for requesting less money to maintain the infrastructure around the nation’s nuclear arsenal. During a question and answer session with Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm and Acting Under Secretary of Energy for Nuclear Security Dr. Charles Verdon, Inhofe pointed out deferred maintenance of nuclear facilities that haven’t been updated in decades.

Inhofe also appeared at a news conference held by Republican Senators on Thursday, in which he called out the Biden Administration not meeting military and security budget needs.
