Congressman Tom Cole tried once again to reestablish the Hyde Amendment into the appropriations bills being considered in the U.S. House. As he debated the issue, the amendments to H.R. 4502 were blocked by Democrats.
Cole has pointed out that many of the Democrats currently in office have voted on appropriations with language that prevented federal taxpayer dollars from being used to perform abortions.
