With less than a year to go for Oklahoma’s General Election in 2022, attack ads have begun targeting Governor Kevin Stitt’s re-election campaign.
The latest ad buy is from a group calling itself Conservative Voice of America. It goes after Stitt’s criminal justice record, namely the mass commutation for non-violent offenders in 2019. The 30-second ad is playing on the Fox News Channel for the next three weeks.

That isn’t the only ad attacking Stitt’s record. A group modeled after, but not associated with the Lincoln Project has used social media videos to attack Stitt’s pandemic response.
The latest video by Oklahoma Project was released in late September noting that more than ten-thousand Oklahomans have died of COVID-19 while Stitt says that the worst is behind us in March of 2011.
