Federal Judge Rejects Stitt, O’Connor Attempt to Block National Guard Vaccine Mandate

Senior U.S. District Judge Stephen P. Friot on Tuesday rejected Governor Kevin Stitt and Attorney General John O’Connor’s request for an injunction against the COVID-19 vaccine requirement for members of the National Guard.

“The court is required to decide this case on the basis of federal law, not common sense. But, either way, the result would be the same. The claims asserted by the Governor and his co-plaintiffs are without merit,” said Friot in his decision.

The Oklahoman’s Chris Casteel and Nolan Clay write the judge did request the Biden administration allow Guard members more time to comply before taking action that could lead to termination of careers.

Stitt needs to understand that he doesn’t have the “stroke” to command guardsmen in this way. He just does’nt seem to get it!
